God bless, Ms. Suson How was your long weekend? I hope that you took the time to be thankful for the blessings that you were given. Today, the 8th graders had a socratic seminar (a more sophisticated way of discussion that is used in high schools and colleges) about a song that paralleled Martin Luther King's iconic words. It was fabulous to hear how they tackled issues of inequality, freedom, and injustice. It wasn't solely focused on the past, but also how the issues were alive in present day. HW: 8 - Vocab Pg. 86-89 (end on synonyms) There are quizzes/tests coming up: -Friday- 8-6: Grammar Quizzes 8: Vocab Unit 12 Test Improvement notices are going out tomorrow. Please check your child's progress through Churckwerks and send the form back. God bless, Ms. Suson |
